However, I'm more of a traditional/modern taste. I like clean lines. I was surprised when I received this lamp... the description did not indicate that it was 24 karat lead crystal!!! Wow!! I was thinking it was just glass. Our room is done in gray tones with black furniture. I have done splashes of color through our accessories... I was originally looking at a Robert Abbey Artemis Lamp or the Trump Soho lamp... I love the black shades... however, I finally decided on this one.. I'm glad. I like it too when the lamp is on, the shade looks as if it has a grayish tone ribbon on the top and the bottom of it! It is double ribbon with white over black. Very tasteful. This lamp gives our room a new look. It looks casual, warm and inviting. Not stuffy, but still elegant!! My husband and I are in our mid 40's and thought it was time to redecorate!! I only wished that this style had a floor lamp to match it!! I would highly suggest this to anyone!! One more thing, in between the balls is pewter! love it! I just don't like the gold that I'm seeing. I lived through the "brass" craze!!
