(More customer reviews)I loved the appearance of this banker's lamp, most of all the white shade. But alas, when the light is turned on, the glare is fierce. After weeks of trying unsuccessfully to adjust to the level of glare, I resorted to buying a spray-on opaque paint, and spraying both the underside of the shade and the outside with several coats. Finally, no glare. Unfortunately, the lamp now little resembles the one I purchased.
