(More customer reviews)This sconce is beautiful! It casts a substantial amount of light and is true Arts & Crafts decor. The mounting isn't terribly complicated, but it came with pieces of hardware that didn't make any sense whatsoever. The instructions were worthless. In the end, I only needed to use the backplate (the part that holds the bulb) and discarded everything else that came with it. I used a couple of concealed finish nails to get the glass shade level and exactly the height I wanted. Also note, this item is shipped with a corded lamp that plugs into a wall outlet. The picture, of course, doesn't show this. The product description does say it in the fine print, though. If you were hoping for one that can be hardwired, do not be deterred! All you need is a simple lamp socket kit from your local hardware. Take out the old and install the new. It is really quite simple.
