(More customer reviews)I ordered one of these lamps to go with our new bedroom furniture. It's listed as brushed steel and "dark cherry" but the wood is much lighter than dark cherry. It has a small rocker switch on the base which I like much better than the usual knob on the socket of a 3-way lamp. Just to be clear it's an on/off switch, not a 3-way. The lamp is solidly built. My wife and I were looking for a lamp with a rectangular shade so it could be placed closer to the wall on the night stand. The oval shade on this lamp works just as well and looks nice too. It arrived in 2 separate boxes and was well packaged. I liked it enough to order another one. If you like a somewhat plain design that is well built then this is the lamp for you.
