(More customer reviews)The description of the bulb indicates that it is a 60 watt replacement and consumes 8 watts (or 7 watts later down in the description). The description is inaccurate. The bulb, according to the packaging, produces about 300 Lumen; similar to what a 40 watt incandescent produces. The bulb also consumes 6 watts.
That said, I gave it 4 stars because it actually works well for my intended use. It has a color I like (though some may find it too blue), it doesn't have the glare my old incandescent bulb did, and it's lower light output actually works better in this particular space.
So I'd recommend this product if you want a replacement for a *40* watt incandescent that has a more natural light color.
