(More customer reviews)I love these lamps, however when I bought them I didn't pay attention to the installation set up as they aren't able to be plugged in to an outlet; they are made for am in-wall electrical setup. So unless you're willing to run electrical hook-up up your wall to install or have already had the hook-up preinstalled - you will need to install cords yourself (as my husband did) to be able to plug them into the electrical socket.
I really like the wall-mount swing arm lamps - I had purchased a pair years previous for our bedroom that did have the electrical cords, which is why I probably didn't pay as much attention when I purchased these.
Pay close attention to the picture of the item... If it has a straight metal piece coming out at the bottom, they are able to be plugged in at a regular wall outlet - if there is no straight metal piece then it is made for an electrical wall mount at the installation site. (Live and learn from my mistake!)
The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars, is because the write-up wasn't that clear that the electrical hook-up must be present in the wall at the place of installation.
