I compared these with ones available in the big box stores, and there is no comparison. This light was comparably priced, but quaity is head and shoulders above anything I found in the big stores. You can purchase House of Troy products in specialty lighting stores, but their selection may not be as expansive as that here on Amazon and the prices will be higher. Definitely a great light at a great price.
