(More customer reviews)I have had this lamp now for about 6 months, and love it. I have the perfect spot for it in the living room where it is used primarily for effect, and shedding just enough light to see your way through. At about 16" high, this very attractive lamp has a beautiful glass shade, along with a look and feel that in my opinion gives it a much higher quality appearance then the price would suggest. Frankly, its not easy to find this sort of lamp in stores. In fact I was not able to locate a single one of any kind in any of the stores locally. Not only is it available on Amazon, but there are also several different varieties of shades to choose from as well with the same base. I find this light to be very pretty, well worth the price, hard to find, and a definite bargain here on Amazon.
The only thing I can say that I don't like about this lamp, (or any of this variety available) is that they all use the little annoying in line slide wheel type of on and off switch. It's not only more inconvenient that the common bulb base switch or push button style, but it also necessitates that one keep the cord exposed to a certain degree so you can get at the slide wheel. Something that not I or many others would wish do with any lamp. Upon receiving mine, I changed over the socket to a switch style without a problem and just left the inline switch in the on position, this bypassing it. It now only looks very pretty, but has the cord tucked down behind it like it should. I highly recommend this lamp should you be in the mind for something in a small stained glass design.
