But when I put one together myself at home, it stood crooked too. I checked with a level and it was leaning significantly to one side. The narrow vertical column screws into a shallow hole in the base, so there's no stability and the column wobbles a bit and leans. A nice clean, modern looking lamp with simple lines--that is, it would be if it stood up straight.
