Wanted to find pendants over my kitchen island that would provide a good amount of light, but not have a fixture so large that it was visually obtrusive. The halogen lights are bright, but not too much so, and the fixture is designed to spread the light wide, unlike the "wine glass" shaped pendants that create more of a spotlight effect. All of the fixture glass is frosted, which actually complements the shiny glass tile on my backsplash. Love these!
