we got 2 of these lamps about a month ago. The cord is kinked and twisted and will not hang straight. We suspended the lamps between 2 sawhorses with weights hanging from them for a couple of weeks, and that helped. They are easy to install but since the cord is so stiff and thick it is hard to wrap the cord evenly enough around the spindle, to hang two of them at the exact same level.
We have them installed now, there are still some kinks in the cord so it doesn't look good, and the lamp shade is slightly tilted in each one of them. We hung clamps on one side of the shade to weigh down that side and help even it out. It is slowly working. Bottom line, it will probably take months to get the cords unkinked and the shades hanging straight. Nice looking units, though.
