(More customer reviews)My little girl got this for Christmas. She adores the Disney Princesses and Santa-Nana got her enough stuff to deck out her whole room. This lamp is very nice and casts just the right amount of light for her to read her books at night. BUT, there is one little flaw--there is NO VOLUME CONTROL! The lamp plays music, and also speaks--or at least I think it speaks. It is so loud that I can clearly hear it across the house, and when standing next to it you can not understand what it says. There is a way to turn off the music, but my little girl likes to hear it and watch the princesses dance. This would be a 5 star item if it had a volume control, or at least played at a decent volume. My son is a light sleeper and if his sister plays this lamp at night, it is guarantied to wake him up....as well as Daddy who is not such a light sleeper. If you have a big house this might not be such an issue, otherwise I suggest never turning the music on in the first place.
